Atlanta magazine crowns 2018 Best Burger Battle champion

The city’s best burger joints fired up their grills to compete for grand prize golden ticket to 2019 World Burger Championship

Thursday, October 25, 2018 — On Saturday, October 20, Atlanta magazine hosted its third annual Best Burger Battle at Lenox Square, crowning Butcher & Brew as the 2018 Best Burger Battle champion. As nearly two dozen restaurants duked it out in hopes of winning the coveted grand prize, Butcher & Brew took home the golden ticket, qualifying the restaurant for the 2019 World Burger Championship – where 40 of the world’s best hamburgers and their cooks will compete to see whose cuisine reigns supreme.

Attendees casted their votes to crown Butcher & Brew as first place, but in second place, there was a three-way tie between crowd favorites: American Cut Steakhouse, Williamson Bros. BBQ, and Zinburger Wine and Burger Bar. As Atlanta’s premier burger cook-off, the Best Burger Battle offered attendees an enjoyable afternoon full of unlimited burger tastings, Bulleit bourbon cocktails, refreshing craft brews, and live blues music.
