Lenox Square has always maintained a collaborative relationship with the Atlanta Police Department, and in 2003, the APD launched this 2,751 square-foot substation at Lenox Square. In recent years, upgrades have been made to further enhance safety for the property, surrounding businesses and community members. During the grand re-opening celebration, attendees will have the opportunity to take a tour of the upgraded substation, which features a new biometric lock system, improved electronic appliances and a workstation for law enforcement officers. Interior improvements made to the substation include upgraded lighting, painting and soft seating furniture, as well as wall décor featuring property maps and photographs.
In addition to these Zone 2 Substation improvements, Lenox Square has continued to work proactively to enhance its security measures to provide a safe environment for its guests and employees. These enhancements include: providing CCTV video surveillance footage of the property to the Atlanta Police Foundation’s Video Integration Center (VIC), increased security patrols with ATVs and bikes, the addition of the Security Sky Tower and APD Sky Tower, new high definition security cameras throughout the property and Inter Agency Communication through COMNET.
